Exam Preparatory Courses
Group Format
The key to successful preparation for the TOEFL iBT and IELTS exams is regular and simultaneous training of all the language skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing. That is exactly what we offer during our exam preparatory courses. The primary goal of the course is to reveal each student’s potential to achieve a high score on the exam so they can pursue their academic and professional endeavors. These international standardized exams require a careful study of the language, techniques and strategies to obtain a desired score. Interested participants will pass a level-check exam to determine the English language proficiency level so they are placed in the appropriate group to ensure the best learning experience. Regular feedback from the professional instructor, small study groups as well as weekly mock tests in a real test environment will help the students to succeed in the real test.
Individual Format
Our center also offers individual tutoring of the TOEFL iBT and IELTS preparatory courses.
GRE Quantitative Preparation Course
The purpose of this course is to prepare the students to take the Quantitative Section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). In order to improve student skills, classroom learning is student-centered and collaborative, students will study real exam questions, actively participate in discussions and apply the concepts learned. This specific section of the test focuses on topics such as basic number operations, algebra, geometry, decimals and fractions, proportions, averages, and more. The course will thus include all of the above-mentioned topics and put a special emphasis on problem solving strategies. As a result, by the end of the course not only will the students be able to solve the problems correctly but also faster which is the key to success on the GRE. Weekly practice tests throughout the course will identify strengths and needs, and also serve as a gauge of improvement. Thus, our training philosophy emphasizes direct instruction with clear explanations, active participation, and the use of real practice questions.
